Trying to get the hang of gif-making to show off animated clouds. They’re a lot less choppy in-game, though!

Anyways, while doing things I accidentally made a bug. Spinning flipflops!

While its sad to see it go it lowers the framerates by %50 so its out.

I may not update during the week for a while because i’m preparing an update in march, which also happens to be Daybreaks 1 year anniversary. hmmmm.

Selecting and using items in an inventory and using healing magic (it’s tech for Darrol) is in the game now. Don’t wanna show too much because the update is coming next week. But I can talk about this enemy. It has gone through three iterations. The first one is lost but it was like this version but with no arms, dents or shine. It had crab legs though.

Only in game dev can this jump be made so quickly (well maybe not but you get my point)

Also fun fact: The progression of first aid goes as follows, First aid, Second aid, Third aid, Fourth aid.

Also I got the aforementioned second aid.

EDIT 3: I might as well spoil Darrol’s base special attack. Trust me when I say there won’t be an update this big until next week.

Everything looks cool, but I have to ask, why are your spaces in text so wide? It’s making me read everything with a pause in between the words. “First… aid… to… Darrol……. Darrol… earned… 100… experience… points…..”

I have actually known of the spacing issue for a while. It has to do with how I’m handling replacement strings.

In the game, it shows up as

“Darrol earned 100 EXP”

But in the code, it shows something like this .

"" + string(name) + " earned " + "string(expget) + “EXP!”

At least that how it is now. Before, there were a lot of spaces and it should be fixed!

Edit: Going to be working on a new layout for special attacks. Here is my mockup! Sorry for the wrong font/ wrong size. Was just a quick reference.

Mostly-done subway station for a side project. I just need to add some benches in the middle to fill some empty space and touch up the rails. Otherwise I like how it came out.

Tried making a cool effect but failed completely.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention, the battle system is music themed.
