Sadly, as much as I’d love to help with the music on this game, I haven’t a dedicated composition software that I know how to use…

Still, I’m really looking forward to this game. Hopefully you will find an artist and not have to resort to low-quality midis of songs from the MOTHER series.

Really, we’re looking more for people to make original music (midi or mp3) to replace some of the songs borrowed from other series. The sort of songs that would fit the feel of areas while still holding onto that “mother” style theme.
A tall order, I know, but even if you can only make one song, it’d still be a welcome addition.

I’m also happy to announce that as of a little while back, we’ve officially finished with all the art resources!
(Unofficially, I’m still running around trying to improve various odds and ends, but it’s mostly just extra icing on the cake by this point.)

Those are some pretty cool tracks, though I can’t make any strong guarantees – what I’m really looking for most of all is someone who’s willing to work cooperatively on music that might fit into certain places in CogDis.
Not that it hurts to have possibilities.

Hey handish. I think the games amazing so I’m willing to help out. I’m actually in a band and have spoken with my friend who currently co-writes most our material with me. He’s willing to collaborate with me to score the stuff you need. If that sounds good to you, just let me know.

I figure if you provide me with the placeholder stuff, we can make some similar feeling stuff?

Handish this is extremely exciting. I can’t wait to replay this game with all of these new improvements.

In regards to music, I have other projects on my plate but I’ll be happy to remix or replace the original song I provided, and maybe even a few more custom tracks! I’m always here, just give me a shout.

I recently found this game through the RPGMaker.net website. I investigated further and now I’ve stumbled upon this topic. The extra touches look so careful that I’ll wait for version 2.0 instead.

Especially the addition of a fuel bar, making space travel much less about “Hmm, I think I have about enough gas to get here but…”

It really will be that much better, especially because of all the gratitude I owe to those who are currently contributing graphics and music to the project.

This remake is looking absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait for its release. Its predecessor was magical.
I would like to help in some way. I’ve tested a few games in their private betas (if you’re still looking for any testers) and have some programming experience, although I don’t think my programming skills will bring fourth quality work. Nevertheless I’m incredibly stoked for this release.

I have a YouTuber friend of mine who is curious about a few details of the beta.

Any idea on game length? I’m assuming saves won’t be compatible with new version?

I have no clue how to answer him.

Just popping in to say that I hope the beta testing phase has been good so far and that I sure can’t wait to see how much this game has developed since I beat the first version. What I’ve seen in terms of new content is amazing, and I’m wondering how much more in-depth the gameplay will be compared to the original once I get into it once more.

if you do a 3.0, would you do it MOTHER 3 styled, maybe even just a mock, but it’s ok if you don’t. Anyway, when do you think this will be done. Sorry for not helping, because this has the same attention MOTHER 4 has for me, especially because of not being able to play the first

Earthbound_Mike: In all likelihood this will be the final version of CogDis. If I get the opportunity, I have plenty of ideas for another game.
