Here’s the deal basically everyone here says what their favorite Earthbound/Mother fangame is and tells everyone who reads why.

-You dont play as humans, but as the most iconic aliens from the franchise, opening up a lot of possibilites that are impossible with humans

I like the EarthBound randomizer (don’t asks me were I found it, because I forgot). Basically you can choose from three “levels” of randomization, my personal favorite being “Ancient Caves” mode, where every door has been connected to other doors, and you need to right your way through eight glowing balls in the maze so you can defeat Giygas. It has a lot of things to skip story events, like starting the game with all your friends automatically, making it so you can learn Starstorm instantly using a special machine, and giving you a level where you learn teleport. I am playing it right now and I give it 10/10 for being run and hard at the same time.

It’s mostly just wandering around and hoping you find a hospital or hotel, and Ness never has PP, but it’s really fun just so long as you don’t run into Starman Jr. He is resistant to everything, hits very hard, and only rewards you with $24 afterward. It’s definitely my favorite EarthBound so far.

Mother Russia seems very underrated. The gameplay and graphics are very nice and clean, the gameplay seems engaging and tight and it tries to be original while keeping the Mother feel!

It’s been dead for a bit now, but I really liked what Eagleland was going for. The demo walking around the city split by the highway showed a lot of promise in terms of worldbuilding and cool sound designs!
