Hi! A while ago, me and some friends began work on an Earthbound/Mother TTRPG. For those who don’t know, TTRPG means Tabletop Roleplaying Game (think D&D). The goal is to, as accurately as possible, recreate the mechanics and feel of the Mother series in a TTRPG.
The game utilizes a d6 pool system, meaning that for every odd number of points in a stat you roll one six-sided die. It also utilizes an open character creation system using AP (or Ability Points) that allow you to either buy more Abilities from your specialization (PSI-User, Genius, Thief, or Martial Artist), or purchase more Stat Points and Skills, which add little bonuses to your character.
There are currently 7 species options, those being Human, Mook, Robot, Insectoid, Animal, Magypsy, or Mr. Saturn, as well as the option to play a Chimera version of any of those choices. Each species has different starting stats as well as unique abilities.
The game is currently still under development (not yet leaving the Google Doc state), and there’s not much to show visually for it besides just putting the WIP document here.
