So the fangame I’m working on is nearing completion, and the current prototype file size is about 263MB. This thing’s too massive to just post on here. Doing any sort of compression would likely decrease the quality of the game too much to be an option.

What’s a safe, not sketchy site where I can upload such a file. You know, not like those sites covered in ads and fake download links, and one that can support such a huge downloadable file. A place that hosts a website that supports this would also work. Hope this is an appropriate place for this question.

In general I think Google Drive is good for this. You can just upload stuff and get the shareable link. Their free storage limit is quite generous as well (15gb I think?)

So if I use a link with Google Drive, can it make it so people can’t access anything else on it, or so that people can’t upload something else in it’s place?

Absolutely! Just make sure you have sharing set to “view only” and “link sharing on”. People who click the link you give will have the file, and only the file you shared, added to their drive.

The game’s in the second round of editing, so it should be ready for release real soon! I also have to make a trailer, so, anyone know a good program for screen capture?

Buck Fever says I can have an Avatar

I’m not aware if it’s the best option for screen capture, but I personally use OBS since it’s free

Though I should probably say that you’ll most likely need to mess around with a lot of settings, and OBS can only record and can’t edit recordings

so if you need to do video editing you’d need a different program on top of it, and I can’t help you with that one
