For villain name… Maybe… Venix? Vorton? Valence? Vortex? Those are what I came up with.

Man, this is a pretty violent departure from the typical mother formula, how would the mother elements fit into this (Stuff like PSI, Mister Saturns and so on).
Also in what game engine do you plan to make this?

Hey, this is an update from me, the main programmer person thing, on our movement system so far!

Essentially, the system I have allows for both 8-directional movement and sprites. Along with that, I also added a running feature (recommended by Vr15k4 to be triggered by the ‘X’ key), one which allows for the player to change their speed while in movement (essentially, it’s a far cry from Mother 3’s run feature, and is instead more akin to the first of the trilogy).

I listened to the soundtrack and here is my critique.
I found the soundtrack rather repetitive. A lot of the tracks seemed to loop every 10 or so seconds and never really progressed into anything. I felt a lot of the octaves used clashed with each other and they seemed too high pitched.
I’d personally suggest redoing the soundtrack.
