"Abstract Art" no longer on the Play Store? « Fan Games and Programs « Forum

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I noticed today that the EarthBound battle backgrounds live wallpaper app, “Abstract Art” doesn’t seem to be on the Play Store anymore. I can’t remember the developer, and I still have it installed and I can find it on mirror sites, so that’s not an issue. Just seems strange for it to have just vanished.

I guess this got bumped for bot reasons, but I was curious enough to look around for it.

If I had to take a guess as to why it was delisted, it’s probably because it’s using copyrighted assets and that’s not a good thing to have listed on an official store as a downloadable app. It’s also nearly 10 years old, so it was unlikely officially tested in any capacity for modern devices and was taken down for security risks.

The project was apparently open source, and the GitHub version of it still exists. It does not seem to include an APK however.
